Impact & Responsibilities: Designs, codes, and tests sensors that enhance metal casting research and development projects; assists with development and testing of software/hardware applications that support the goals of the Foundry 4.0 Center and Metal Casting Center; supervises student employees; and maintains existing IoT infrastructure.
 
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field; at least one year of experience with general embedded systems engineering and the internet of things.
Spring 2024 graduates and student experience will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date.
 
Preferred: Embedded system engineering and internet of things experience for metal casting research applications; and experience coding in Python, Javascript, Arduino, and/or html.
