Community Engagement Coordinator

Responsibilities: Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders, partners and media outlets to promote the mission and programs of the Tallgrass Prairie Center (TPC); leads community engagement efforts; helps maintain a high profile for the Center both externally and within the University; and assists the Director in building the Friends of the TPC group through coordination of a spring Restoration and Management Seminar Series and design and production of Center publications.
 
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; at least two years of project management experience; strong written and oral communication skills; and proficiency with website and graphic design software (e.g. InDesign). Experience with outreach and educational programming in an educational environment; experience with native plants, roadside management, landscape design and/or agricultural conservation practices preferred.
 
Schedule: Part time; Approximately 20 hours per week.
