Assistant Professor of Instruction, Anatomy & Physiology

The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Biology seeks applications for a 2.5-year term Assistant Professor of Instruction position, starting in January 2025. The Department seeks a dynamic and dedicated educator to join the team and contribute to support of the UNI Nursing program through lecture or lab assignments in Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology, and the Department through assignments in Introductory Biology for general education and biology majors. The standard teaching load in the Department is 12 total classroom/lab contact hours per week. For more information on the Department of Biology visit chas.uni.edu/biology.
 
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in biology required. A professional degree (MSN, ARNP, DNP, MD, DO, DPT) or other advanced clinical degrees by nationally accredited institutions may be accepted as fulfilling the degree requirements. Proven ability to teach lectures and labs in Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, and introductory and non-majors biology also required. Prior teaching experience in courses relevant to this position at the university level preferred.
