Responsibilities: Develops and implements overall marketing and communications strategy for the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC) and IASourcelink; oversees and manages event planning and execution; manages individual communications projects and supports client communications; creates and manages comprehensive content calendar to track all recurring and upcoming content; assists the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Director with developing, designing, and implementing marketing content and materials for the SBDC; and serves as the JPEC point of contact and coordinates with other BCS programs for marketing initiatives. Position will work with schools in the Cedar Rapids area as part of the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Talent Search program.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design or related field; at least three years of experience creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms for business use; and experience curating a content calendar and marketing strategy for various programs with varied audiences required. Knowledge of graphic design to create social posts, email, newsletter and print materials; experience working with small business owners and entrepreneurs on their digital marketing; event planning experience; experience researching and writing blogs and articles; and knowledge of the entrepreneurial support system in Iowa preferred. Student experience will be considered. Spring 2025 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date.
