Assistant Manager Catering Events

Come join UNI's Catering team! The Assistant Manager Catering Events plays an integral role in supporting our catering success. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. 
 
Responsibilities: Coordinates and supervises bar and catering services; solicits and responds to information from customers; utilizes Food Pro and other systems to ensure compliance with departmental procedures and cost management; assists with the staff and student employment process; and assists in recommending new and/or revised departmental operational policies, procedures, and standards.
 
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of experience in catering, retail food service, institutional food service operations, or related experience required. An associate's degree plus four years of related experience may be substituted. Bachelor's degree in institutional, hotel or restaurant management, dietetics, business management or related field; strong customer service skills; ability to multitask; and excellent team management skills preferred. Student experience will be considered. Fall 2024 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date. Frequent night and weekend work will be necessary.
