
Concession Food and Beverage Operations Manager - Athletics
Primary Function: Directs and oversees the concessions food and beverage operations of multiple intercollegiate athletic venues and facilities; develops marketing and promotion plans for these operations; supervises operational staff; plans and coordinates training programs; establishes channels of communication and exchanges ideas with patrons, customers and related supervisory staff; develops vendor relations and procures permanent and perishable inventory and equipment; and assists with strategic and operational planning for concession and retail services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; at least three years of food management experience; demonstrated thorough knowledge of food and beverage service principles and practices; ability to merchandise products and services; and ServSafe, ServSafe Alcohol, and Allergen Training certifications or ability to obtain certifications within three months of hire required. Experience in a multi-purpose event facility or athletic venue preferred. Student experience will be considered. Non-standard work hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays will be necessary. Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big 12 Conference and the University of Northern Iowa.
