Teller Supervisor

Overall Objectives: The teller supervisor at First Security State Bank is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of all front-line staff. The primary focus is to lead by example, exhibiting high levels of internal and external customer service, accuracy and professionalism. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to readily adapt to change.
Primary Duties:
- Provide quality customer service with both internal and external customers.
- The priority is to proactively serve the customer’s needs with great service.
- Always maintain a working cash drawer to assist when there are more than 2 customers waiting in line.
- Answers calls and provides customers with accurate information and direct calls to appropriate department.
- Open new accounts including checking, savings, and certificate of deposit (CDs).
- Process any new ATM/Debit card applications. Problem-solve any customer issues.
- Provide support and assist in balancing the ATM machine in a secure, timely, and accurate manner according to established procedures.
- Provide training for tellers and new accounts.
- Organize teller training and teller/staff meetings quarterly.
- Maintain current procedure manuals.
- Proactively encourage and support cross selling activities on an on-going basis.
- Monitor teller performance and cash offages.
- Assist with the research of cash offages.
- Perform quarterly cash audits and tracking of bait money.
- Monitor employee turnover and complete employee reviews in a timely manner.
- Complete monthly teller schedules in a timely manner.
- Act as a team leader with open lines of communication.
- Maintain confidentiality with customers and employees.
- Hire personnel as deemed necessary.
- Complete additional duties not listed that are assigned by management, including but not limited to, Request for Proposals-Deposit Operations and Audit/Exam Requests.
Skills & Attributes
- College degree preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous management experience or head teller experience preferred but not required.
- Previous customer service or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Self-motivation and attention to details.
- High level of accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to multi-task and organize priorities.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
