Special Education Teacher

Bosco Catholic School System is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Special Education Teacher to serve students on our K–12 campus. This educator will work closely with teachers, families, AEA partners, and our public home district to support students with IEPs and ensure their needs are met with excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction, intervention, and support aligned with student IEPs

  • Partner with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and modifications

  • Coordinate and manage IEP processes, timelines, and meetings

  • Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

  • Communicate regularly with families, staff, and district partners

  • Support a positive, faith-centered culture rooted in our mission to form students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially

Requirements:

  • Valid Iowa teaching license

  • Instructional Strategist I or II endorsement (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

  • Commitment to serving students with diverse learning needs

  • Desire to live out and uphold the Catholic mission of BCSS
