WARTBURG COLLEGE Title of Position – Program Director of Health and Human Performance Graduate Studies (Full-Time) The Opportunity Wartburg College is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to implement new graduate programs in Health and Human Performance. These new Master of Science (MS) degrees will build upon successful undergraduate programs in health and human performance and the sciences, a successful DIII athletics program, and high-quality physical facilities in the “W” including state-of-the-art exercise science facilities, classrooms and laboratories. The Role Position: Program Director of Health and Human Performance Graduate Studies Role Type: 12-month, in-person, administrative position with teaching duties upon program implementation Anticipated Starting Date: January 2026 Timeline: Screening of applications begins immediately and continues until filled Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications The Program Director of Health and Human Performance Graduate Studies will be the administrator responsible for the program curricula, staffing, and students within these programs. Two of the approved programs - the MS in Sport Science and MS in Data Science in Human Performance - will launch in fall 2026. This position will collaborate with the Graduate Studies team and be responsible to the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that enrollment goals are met, students are retained, professional standards are upheld, and coursework is completed to ensure successful program completion. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Student recruitment, admission, and advisement
2) Instructor recruitment, supervision, and accountability
3) Curricular leadership and oversight
4) Upon program implementation, teach four online courses annually in the graduate Health and Human Performance curriculum 5) Contribute to the life of the College as deemed appropriate in consultation with the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies 6) Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications:
