Bosco Catholic School System is seeking a caring, faith-filled K–8 Instructional Coach / Resource Teacher to support teachers and students in a Christ-centered environment. This role provides instructional coaching, targeted academic support, and professional development to strengthen teaching practices and foster students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth.

Position Summary:
 The Instructional Coach / Resource Teacher supports instructional excellence and student learning outcomes. This dual-role position partners with teachers to improve classroom practice and curriculum delivery while providing direct support for students with diverse learning needs or requiring intervention. The role collaborates closely with the Assistant Principal and K–12 Instructional Coach to ensure a cohesive system supporting academic, behavioral, and spiritual growth for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

       - Instructional Coaching: Partner with teachers to strengthen instructional strategies, differentiate learning, and align curriculum to standards through modeling, co-teaching, and feedback.

       - Student Support: Provide targeted academic intervention and enrichment, including support for IEPs, accommodations, and students with learning differences.

 - Data & Progress Monitoring: Analyze student achievement data to guide instruction, track progress, and improve learning outcomes.

 - Collaboration & Communication: Work with teachers, coaches, and parents to coordinate support, contribute to intervention planning, and foster a consistent, student-centered environment.

       - Faith Integration: Promote the Catholic mission and values, model Christian behavior, and create a faith-filled learning environment that supports students’ moral and spiritual growth.

Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education (Master’s preferred)

 - Valid Iowa teaching license (with endorsement in instructional coaching, K-8 reading, or special education preferred)

 - Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a K–12 school setting

       - Experience with instructional coaching or adult professional development (preferred)

       - Knowledge of instructional best practices, differentiated instruction, and learning intervention strategies

        - Understanding of special education processes, including IEPs and 504 Plans

 - Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to uphold Catholic teachings and actively support the school’s mission

 - Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
