K-12 Instructional Coach and Curriculum Coordinator

Bosco Catholic School System is seeking a mission-driven and faith-filled K–12 Instructional Coach and Curriculum Coordinator to lead the development, alignment, and implementation of a rigorous, faith-integrated curriculum across all grade levels. This role supports teachers in strengthening instructional practices, using data to improve student outcomes, and fostering academic excellence while nurturing students’ spiritual, moral, and personal growth.
Position Summary
The K–12 Instructional Coach and Curriculum Coordinator is a mission-driven instructional leader who oversees the development, alignment, and implementation of a rigorous, faith-integrated curriculum across all grade levels. This role ensures instructional practices, assessments, and academic programs align with Catholic values, diocesan guidance, and state standards while supporting the diverse needs of all learners.
Serving as a key resource for teachers, the coordinator provides instructional coaching and professional development, promotes data-informed practices, and supports continuous improvement in teaching and learning to help students grow academically and in faith.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Leadership: Oversee the development, review, and alignment of K–12 curriculum to diocesan and state standards while ensuring integration of Catholic teachings and Gospel values across all subject areas.
- Instructional Support: Provide coaching, professional development, and instructional guidance to teachers to strengthen classroom practices, differentiated instruction, and student learning.
- Assessment & Data Use: Lead the use of benchmark and formative assessments, analyze school-wide academic data, and coordinate administration of the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) to support data-driven instruction and interventions.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with principals, teachers, and diocesan personnel to set academic goals, lead curriculum initiatives, and support accreditation and school improvement efforts.
- Faith & Mission Integration: Ensure curriculum and instruction reflect the mission of Catholic education by promoting students’ intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field (required)
- Valid Iowa teaching license
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience; experience in curriculum leadership (preferred)
- Practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to Catholic education and moral formation
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and coaching skills
- Knowledge of current trends in education, instructional technology, and assessment
