Financial Advisor - Servicing Advisor
The Servicing Advisor is a key member of our progressive financial planning team, responsible for managing a defined set of client relationships. This role ensures exceptional client service, supports financial planning needs, and helps clients achieve their goals while freeing Lead Advisors to focus on complex cases.
You will deliver personalized financial advice, maintain strong client relationships, and identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and grow assets under management. Success in this role requires outstanding communication, follow-up, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to professional ethics and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client meetings, prepare agendas, and deliver financial planning advice.
- Maintain accurate documentation in CRM and ensure timely follow-up.
- Provide proactive and unscheduled service support as needed.
- Conduct discovery sessions, strategy meetings, and plan presentations.
- Analyze client goals, validate assumptions, and prepare recommendations.
- Utilize Money Guide and other planning tools to develop plans, proposals, and illustrations.
- Coordinate advice with Lead Advisors and ensure quality checks on all deliverables.
- Handle prospect intake, scheduling, and tracking activities.
- Execute trades and implement product solutions aligned with client goals.
- Track client progress, update suitability, and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance documentation and maintain accurate client files.
- Maintain required licenses and complete continuing education.
- Participate in Ameriprise training and stay current on industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Series 7, Series 66, and state life/health insurance licenses (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and virtual meetings.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for workflow efficiency and client engagement.
- Understanding of securities industry rules and compliance requirements.
