Women of Persimmon is the YWCA Black Hawk County’s signature annual luncheon celebrating the women who inspire, lead, and strengthen our community. This special event honors outstanding women whose achievements reflect the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Women of Persimmon with this year’s theme, “Rooted in Legacy. Rising Together,” the event brings together community members, leaders, and supporters to recognize the impact of remarkable women while raising vital funds to support the YWCA’s programs serving children, youth, and families across Black Hawk County. 🌿✨
