Description

Join us for the first session in our special three-part Windows on Waterloo series exploring key issues in earth protection and how they connect to the future of our community.
Audrey Tran Lam, Environmental Health Program Manager at UNI's Center for Energy and Environmental Education, will share about Iowa's water quality, including local and statewide trends, the impacts of agricultural runoff, and what we know about nitrate contamination and its potential connection to rising cancer rates.
She'll also share practical approaches to improving water quality and offer guidance on steps individuals can take, from water testing to filtration options.
This session is part of a special three-part Windows on Waterloo series focused on earth protection topics. Learn more about the full series and upcoming conversations on healthier transportation and renewable energy: https://wloocommunityfoundation.org/learning-opportunities/
