A Cedar Valley Newcomer Event

Have you recently moved to the Cedar Valley (within the last two years)? Whether you’re here for a new job, a new chapter, or a fresh start, we want to help you feel at home, and have some fun doing it! 

Join us for Pints, Pucks, & People, a welcoming evening designed exclusively for newcomers (those who have come to the Cedar Valley in the last two years for work, graduate school or other opportunities). 

We’ll kick off the night at SingleSpeed Brewing Co. at 4:30 PM, where you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, meet other new residents, and stop by vendor booths highlighting ways to get connected and involved throughout the Cedar Valley. From community groups to local experiences, you’ll discover resources, opportunities, and the people who make this region special.

Then we’ll head over together to cheer on the Waterloo Black Hawks as they take on Dubuque with a 6:35 PM puck drop. Your registration includes a ticket to the game plus food and drink vouchers to keep the night rolling. 

Whether you come solo, with a partner, or bring the kids, you’ll leave with new connections and a stronger sense of community. Come raise a glass, meet your neighbors, and experience one of the Cedar Valley’s favorite hometown traditions!
