Shop Local: Kick off the season with a bag full of local love.

On Shop Small Saturday, November 29, the fun starts early! From 10 AM to 12 PM, our teams will be set up in downtown Waterloo (E 4th Street & Sycamore St) and downtown Cedar Falls (Main Street & E 4th Street), each handing out reusable shopping bags to the first 100 shoppers! But these aren’t just any bags. They come with a prize inside! 

Each kickoff bag will include one or more of the following: 

Gift cards, thanks to support from Talk to Me Technologies and US Bank Wealth Management 

Coupons and discounts from local businesses 

$10 bounce-back cards redeemable at participating businesses downtown 

Here’s the twist: The offers and prizes vary by location, and some of the most exciting surprises are spread across both communities. So grab a bag in one downtown, then take your time exploring the other. It’s the perfect reason to make a day of it and support even more local businesses. Additional bags will be placed in participating small businesses throughout the season. Some bags will include coupons. Others may hold surprise gift cards. Keep shopping and keep your eyes peeled!
