Description

The public is invited to attend a vibrant celebration of history, health and community at Fall for Allen, a festive weekend event honoring the 100th Anniversary of Allen Hospital and Allen College. The event will take place Friday, October 3 thru Sunday, October 5th from 10 am to 6 pm. Highlights of the celebration include Horticulture Mega Sculpture Art with hundreds of pumpkins from local artist Bill Close, I'm An Allen Baby event including mural mozaic of 700+ photo submissions, Walk Down Memory Lane, Shop with a Cause - Allen Auxiliary Pop Up Shop, Centennial Marketplace, Kids Activities including Llama Experience on Friday/Saturday only limited hours, Area Food Trucks and Mid-day Live Music. A food drive supporting the Northeast Iowa Food Bank is also slated. Thank you to Waterloo Career Center and the Grout Museum for partnership in producing this community wide celebration!
