As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and, ultimately, a cure. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s. The cost of caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias is estimated to total $305 billion in 2020, increasing to more than $1.1 trillion (in today’s dollars) by mid-century.
