With several offices throughout the upper Midwest area, we are able to support our clients throughout the United States as well as those all over the globe.
We are growing our sales team at DISTek and will be hiring a sales executive to grow our client base. In this sales hunter role, you will report to the sales manager and collaborate with our sales team to develop relationships with targeted clients and stakeholders. This position is instrumental in increasing our company’s marketability and overseeing our continued growth in the off-highway vehicle industry. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with our key clients, functional leaders, and managers (across Engineering, Sales/Marketing, and Finance). For this position, the sales executive can work either out of one of our offices or work remotely.
Primary functions:

  • Lead sales efforts with new clients and identify new business opportunities to increase revenue
  • Engage client engineering managers, department heads and senior level executives to sell our value proposition
  • Deliver effective sales presentations and proposals that solve client solutions
  • Develop a strong understanding of DISTek’s value model (Best Total Solution) and its benefits to clients
  • Successfully transition new projects to engineering leads and account managers
  • Utilize CRM suite to expand client stakeholder database, qualify new opportunities, and track progress
  • Maintain effective communication with DISTek management, engineering and other support areas
  • Effectively follow and promote DISTek’s core values
  • All other sales related duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Experienced in technical sales with a proven track record of developing new accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems – troubleshooting skills
  • Great communicator – strong written and verbal/non-verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal driven and the ability to work autonomously
  • Proven MS Office knowledge  (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% domestically
  • 4 year STEM or business related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organization, planning, and communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to employees, clients, and management
  • Proven track record of achieving monthly and annual goals
  • Strong presentation skills – ability to present to stakeholders/clients (phone, in-person, and virtually)
  • Experience in the off-highway industry and technologies found on vehicles (electronics and software)
  • Understand software and embedded systems – knowledge and ability to discuss
  • Established network of relevant contacts as potential clients
  • Experienced with the sales-cycle of selling long-term services
