Road crew labor employees work as a team performing Forensic style environmental decommissioning of electrical components at customer sites. The careful dismantling of these pieces allows A-Line E.D.S. to recycle the oil and precious metals within the components. Safety is of the most importance on this job as employees will operate several different types of heavy machinery and power/hand tools. Our Road Crew team members are the face of the company to our customers. Their professionalism, safety awareness, and skill are what sets A-Line E.D.S. apart from the rest.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities related to the breakdown and handling of oil-filled recyclable electrical equipment. Tasks to include:
  • Plasma/Torch Cutting- Safe work practices and proper work methods to open equipment for further teardown is a plus
  • Forklift Operation- Safely and effectively operate a forklift. Understanding forklift signals and communication with forklift operators is a plus
  • Offloading and rigging- Safely work with team members to properly rig and offload equipment from trailers and relocate equipment as required is a plus
  • Metals Recycling- Understand and sort recyclable metals according to composition is a plus
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Ability to work safely as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiarization with cutting torches and plasma torches is a plus
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to routinely lift 60lbs
  • The possibility to obtain a Class A CDL is a plus
  • Previous experience in operating heavy machinery and forklifts preferred
  • Must be able to successfully pass Federal background checks to work at customer sites
  • Cannot have any felony records
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Overnight travel 80%
