We are in search of a Recruitment & Enrollment Specialist who is passionate about our mission and vision:

Job Summary: Essential to the BBBS brand, this position ensures that volunteers and children are appropriately enrolled and matched while executing a high degree of independent judgment when utilizing BBBS standards and practices. A high-level customer service, focusing on volunteer options and child safety, is to be demonstrated throughout the volunteer and child enrollment process. 
 
Performance Measures:  The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time, youth yield, youth/parent processing time, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess volunteer “fit” to BBBS. Conduct volunteer enrollments, including: individual orientations, interviews, assessments, and completion of any other enrollment processes.

  • Conduct client enrollments including parent/child interviews, child safety education and enrollment processes. Assess and refer families for alternative or additional services as needed. 

  • Efficiently manage the time between when a volunteer inquires with our agency to when they are enrolled as a volunteer.

  • Ensure a high-level of proficiency and skill in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function.   Identify child safety issues for volunteers, children, and their families.

  • Review and follow-up on references as necessary to gain additional data to complete the assessment process. 

  • Conduct volunteer and client reassessments/updates as indicated.

  • Identify and eliminate any barriers interfering with the completion of the enrollment process.

  • Review all enrollment information and assessments and make recommendations for participation in the program based on this information.   Assess and apply factors contributing to successful match.  Effectively align volunteer interests and qualifications with service options of agency.  Consult with other program staff and/or supervisor as appropriate.

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and match support recommendations for volunteer and child participation in the program based upon assessments of each individual volunteer.  Maintain accurate and timely records for each match according to standards and utilize technology to report, synthesize and analyze data.

  • Determine matches and facilitate match meetings.  Accommodate volunteer and family schedules.    

  • Create intentional, long-lasting and sustainable matches based on preferences, interests, and compatibility.

  • Share with development and/or marketing staff potential partnership relationships as discovered through volunteers’ and parents’ employers and affiliations.  

  • High degree of collaboration with other program staff.

  • Identify and promote re-engagement of volunteers as Bigs, board members, and donors in other volunteer capacities.

  • Create on-going recruitment plan for coverage area.

  • Represent BBBSNEIA at various recruitment events that may include public speaking such as lunch and learns, volunteer fairs, community events, etc.

  • To ensure quality services and measurable outcomes, maintain accurate and timely records for each match according to standards and utilize technology to report, synthesize, and analyze data.

  • Complete all BBBS required trainings for both BBBSA and BBBSNEIA annually.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)

  • Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Salesforce: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Google Suite: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Youth: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Volunteers: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Child Welfare: 1 year (Preferred)

 Education

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Additional Requirements

  • Must clear all background checks and education verification

  • Hold a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Have access to reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $14.00-$16.00/hour
Work Location: One location & local travel
Work Environment: Office, community

Hours Per Week: 40+, some weeknights and weekends required
