GENERAL INFORMATION:
This is a contracted Executive Director position and will transition to a full-time salary Executive Director role pending 501(c)(3) status. The position will be responsible for leading Go! Transportation from its pilot phase to becoming a successful nonprofit entity.
The ED reports to the Board of Directors and its committees, and is responsible for overall strategic and operational administration, including developing and implementing procedures and policies. The ED must have the skills to build community awareness, provide organizational leadership, and assure adequate and stable funding.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP –

Build GO! into an organization that is recognized as a premier provider of transportation services for youth by embracing a spirit of collaboration and cooperation.

Direct, coordinate, and support the organization’s services in accordance with the goals and policies established by the Board of Directors.

Recommend policies and procedures to the board, ensuring they align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements for effective governance and decision-making.

Together with the board president, plan and execute board meetings and board development activities. Assist board committees as needed. Attend meetings of the Board of Directors, prepare meeting minutes.

Drive initiatives that contribute to short- and long-term organizational planning and operational excellence.

DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS –
-
Administer general operations of the organization, maintain office management and recordkeeping systems, and ensure that financial accountability is achieved.

Develop and manage annual budgets and identify short and long-term financial support.
-
Review and monitor monthly financial reports and expenditures while developing, maintaining, and overseeing all fundraising and accounting systems and procedures to support the long-term financial success of the organization.

Administer payroll and employee benefits upon receiving 501(c)(3).

Initiate/monitor all organizational insurance and policies.

Serve as liaison with all outside vendors. Establish, support, and optimize a contractual relationship with transportation providers and assure integrity in its delivery of service.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Develop/monitor policies and procedures that assure the safety of all youth riders.

Promote public awareness of GO! as the primary spokesperson, making presentations, preparing and disseminating marketing materials, and maintaining online presence.

PROGRAMMING –

Observe program activities to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Develop, monitor, and maintain all agreements and community partnerships with youth-serving agencies served by GO!

Chaperone and direct the route until staff can be hired and trained. Develop and oversee the management of route, ensuring smooth implementation and efficient operation while addressing any challenges that arise.

Hire and supervise the staff team, coordinate professional development opportunities, and hold regular staff meetings and performance reviews. (Two additional positions under the Executive Director are expected to be filled, with hiring timelines to be determined in collaboration with the board.)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Successful experience working with youth and families from various backgrounds and a high comfort level working in a diverse environment.

Demonstrated leadership and vision in major projects or initiatives.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and a collaborative management style.

High school diploma or GED required. BA preferred, or two years experience working in an administrative position.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Google Workspace (including Google Voice), or ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
-
Mobility around the program facility and various locations within the community to meet with staff, families, and community partners.

Ability to lift and carry materials and/or equipment up to 30 pounds.
-
Ability to maintain mental focus working at a desk and when attending meetings for extended periods of time.
-
Occasionally work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Successful completion of background check and drug screen that meets requirements.

COMPENSATION:
-
The position offers an hourly rate ranging from $22 to $28. There is potential for the role to transition into a salaried position, with a salary range of $45,760 to $58,240 annually, plus additional benefits.
