Assists with the creation of marketing materials including, but not limited to, program web sites, brochures, displays, and other publications or communications that represent the Center and its programs; supports the statewide marketing and prospecting activities of the Center and its programs; assists in the communication process and delivery of business development services, along with the maintenance of the client relationship; provides support for the planning and implementation of events that serve the needs of the Center and its programs; performs operational tasks and the organization of processes and system controls related to meeting program requirements; and conducts secondary business/market/industry research and provides interpretive services to Iowa business owners sharing results of compiled research.
 
Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, economics, public administration, communication/public relations or related field plus at least two years of experience working with small-medium businesses through consulting, business ownership or small firm management required or in a supporting capacity. Student experience will be considered. Experience with sales and marketing including online communities and/or social media tools and resources for business as well as event planning and coordination experience preferred.
