Impact & Responsibilities: Develops editorial and marketing content that is timely and accurate for a variety of outlets, including social media, as part of the University’s communications strategy; helps define “the voice” of UNI publications; coordinates the timely production and distribution of press releases along with additional editorial content (photo, video, graphics) to support them; builds partnerships with colleges, centers and other departments to help achieve UNI communications goals; assists in supervision of student and temp writers, including proofreading and editing their work; and helps as needed with university emergency communications or as a backup spokesperson.
 
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, or related field; at least three years of experience developing and writing journalism, public relations, or marketing communication content; demonstrated experience in writing for web, traditional print and electronic media; strong interviewing skills; and knowledge of AP Style. Student experience will be considered.
 
Preferred: Experience developing, posting and managing day-to-day content under tight deadlines and video/photo.
