Seasonal Laborer

The City of Cedar Falls is seeking seasonal Laborer candidates for 40 hour per week positions not to exceed 6 months within its Public Works Department.  The current hourly rate is $15.708 and increasing to $17.293 on 12-21-24.  Semi-skilled and unskilled labor positions including duties such as mowing, trimming, tree & plant care along with general maintenance of parks, cemeteries, and public properties.  Duties may also include street, sewer maintenance and refuse collection.    Applicants must have physical strength and endurance and knowledge of and ability to operate maintenance and construction hand and power tools. 
 
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying for consideration.  A valid Iowa driver’s license, good driving record, and successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment background, physical, and drug screen are required.
