Responsibilities: -Respond to work orders/beeper calls to identify maintenance and repair needs. -Assure availability of supplies and materials for task or series of tasks. -Purchase needed items with regard to quality and cost. -Submit documentation to supervisor in a timely manner. -Be knowledgeable of personal risks associated with equipment and materials. -Communicate effectively and respectfully with persons served. -Complete work as assigned in the following areas: Paint and finish work, Carpentry, Light plumbing work, Light electrical work, General maintenance and repair. To be successful you will have: -Knowledge of terminology used in residential maintenance and repair. -Knowledge about materials, equipment, and tools used in building maintenance and repair. -Successfully complete building maintenance and repair work in a quality manner. -Ability to assess building maintenance and repair needs. -Ability to work with a maintenance team identifying solutions. -Proven time management skills. -Ability to work independently (without direct supervisory or coworker support). -Respond to work orders/beeper calls to identify maintenance and repair needs. -Knowledgeable in paint and finish work, carpentry, plumbing work and electrical work. Qualifications: -High school diploma or a GED. -Two (2) years in general residential maintenance and repair. (electrical, plumbing, furnace/AC and water heaters, painting, drywall repair and carpentry) -This position requires a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check. Preferred but not required; own a cell phone with active plan to make and receive phone calls and text messages. Post job offer drug screen required. EPI is an equal opportunity employer.
