Facilities Shift Manager

4. Adhere to department service standards of being accommodating, accurate and a problem solver.

5. Tracks departmental expenses and payroll.

6. Responsible for scheduling and reviewing staffing levels to provide optimum service levels and timely completion of tasks while maintaining and controlling cost.

7. Manages all employees of the Facilities department by working with other shift managers as a team, delegating duties, and assigning responsibilities.

8. Responsible for hiring, interviewing and organizing training to ensure appropriate and quality staffing. Also responsible for terminations of staff when needed.

9. Responsible for ensuring all evaluations in Facilities department are completed and issued on or before the due date.

10. Responsible for creating, reviewing, and approving disciplinary actions and positive recognitions.

11. Responsible for tracking attendance and taking necessary action through progressive disciplinary standards.

12. Maintains inventory of supplies and tools to ensure timely completion of tasks and cost control.

13. Reports and reviews Facilities activities with Facilities Manager.

14. Completes all company required training within designated time frames and assures staff does the same.

15. Ensures the safety, security, and comfort of employees and customers. Manages building systems and property to reduce loss time injuries.

16. Works proactively to ensure compliance of applicable OSHA regulations, fire code and ADA building codes. Responsible to ensure all necessary inspections are completed successfully.

17. Responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of facilities and maintaining all building systems to include HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Pool, Generators, Fire alarm, Irrigation, Lighting, and Data.

18. Maintain strong communication with vendors, contractors, government officials and all levels of employees.

19. Meet with other department Directors and Managers as necessary.

20. Utilize Datastream workorder system to prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner. Produce reports through Datastream as needed.

21. Ability to act as general contractor with budget and time constraints while completing small to medium sized construction projects.

22. Ensure that MSDS sheets are kept current, and are properly posted and available to employees.

23. Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical/mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical Demands:

? Ability to move effectively and efficiently around all areas of facility so as to be able to observe and inspect maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, and contractor work.
? Some confined areas. Exposed to hot and cold temperatures. Varied weather conditions, fumes and chemicals used in maintenance.
? Physical requirements-stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands to arms; balance; stoop, kneel, bend or crouch; climb; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Mental Demands:

? Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard, telephone, fax, office equipment, Kronos, MMS, Datastream, all Facilities hand and power tools, blueprints, fork lift, manlifts, and company vehicles.
? Ability to read, write and understand complex instructions and communicate them to subordinates in a way that can be easily interpreted.
? Ability to complete tasks in an interruptive environment under time pressures.
Work Environment:
? Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with above average noise levels.
? Exposed to all temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and smoke.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
? No minimum requirement.

Training/Experience:
? Preferred five to seven years experience in the maintenance and housekeeping of a large facility or plant.

Job Knowledge:
? Sound technical understanding and experience with all building systems, maintenance trades, and housekeeping techniques and tools.
? Must have the ability to read and understand blue prints, schematics, written technical and complex instructions.
Other:
? Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to operations financial data, company policies, procedures, promotions and employee relations issues.
? Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid Gaming license.
? Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
? Must complete all required company training.
