Impact & Responsibilities: Assesses mental health needs of students; implements outreach programs for campus community; develops informational workshops to promote awareness of campus resources for suicide prevention efforts for students, faculty and staff; researches suicide prevention and intervention strategies; implements activities as outlined in the suicide prevention grant funding; conducts continuous monitoring and coordinating of all grant activities focusing on suicide prevention training, mental health education, and substance abuse prevention/intervention initiative on campus; and manages grant reporting.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, community health education, public health, health promotion, higher education or related field; at least one year of experience promoting mental health; ability to gather, analyze, interpret and apply data to write reports; strong communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation; ability to interact effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and external partners; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently; and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Occasional evening and weekend hours will be necessary.
Preferred: Master's degree in psychology, social work, community health education, public health, health promotion, higher education or related field plus experience promoting mental health and well-being with college age students.
