Mental Health Therapist

Impact & Responsibilities: Provides mental health assessments, intervention services, treatment planning, and therapy to a diverse student population, including individuals, couples, and group therapy; provides crisis assessment and intervention services; practices in accordance with appropriate legal and ethical standards; provides consultation to faculty and staff regarding student mental health and counseling needs; completes documentation of clinical activities using electronic medical records; maintains accurate and confidential student records in compliance with university policies and applicable laws; and assists in the training of graduate student interns and practicum counselors and/or plans and conducts outreach workshops and outreach activities to various university groups.
Requirements: Master's degree; Full licensure or temporary licensure in pursuit of full licensure (t-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW, LISW, or LMFT) to practice in Iowa as a mental health counselor, psychologist, social worker, or marriage and family therapist; and at least one year of experience providing direct client therapy.
Preferred: College counseling center experience; and experience serving diverse and underserved populations.
