Cosmetologist

- Position requires flexibility and patience in working with a population affected by dementia.
- Responsible for providing quality cosmetology services for Western Home Communities residents.
- Identifies the most efficient way to safely complete your scheduled work load and makes good use of available time-completing documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Interacts with residents/staff in a positive way and observes residents during interactions-reporting anything unusual to the nursing staff or administrator.
- Maintains supply inventory and notifies administration of supply needs.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered and well organized work area that is safe and appealing to residents.
- Promote and participate in the Vision and Values of the Western Home Strategic Plan, including People First, Innovation, Servant Spirit and Financial Integrity.
- Successful functioning in this position contributes directly to the overall Western Home mission of providing the best possible care for residents.
- Licensed cosmetologist in the state of Iowa.
- Manicure/pedicure experience preferred.
- Experience with an older population.
- Will require regular COVID-19 testing and working in PPE under Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines for salons.
- Supplies and equipment provided.
