  • Position requires flexibility and patience in working with a population affected by dementia. 
  • Responsible for providing quality cosmetology services for Western Home Communities residents.
  • Identifies the most efficient way to safely complete your scheduled work load and makes good use of available time-completing documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Interacts with residents/staff in a positive way and observes residents during interactions-reporting anything unusual to the nursing staff or administrator.
  • Maintains supply inventory and notifies administration of supply needs.
  • Maintains a clean, uncluttered and well organized work area that is safe and appealing to residents.
  • Promote and participate in the Vision and Values of the Western Home Strategic Plan, including People First, Innovation, Servant Spirit and Financial Integrity.
  • Successful functioning in this position contributes directly to the overall Western Home mission of providing the best possible care for residents.
  • Licensed cosmetologist in the state of Iowa.
  • Manicure/pedicure experience preferred.
  • Experience with an older population.
  • Will require regular COVID-19 testing and working in PPE under Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines for salons.
  • Supplies and equipment provided.
  • Position requires flexibility and patience in working with a population affected by dementia.
