RESTAURANT CHEF (JORGENSEN PLAZA FOR WELL-BEING)

-FULL-TIME; 2ND SHIFT AVAILABLE; ALL SHIFTS AS NEEDED DUTIES: This position will be the leader of the Prairie Wind and Table 1912 culinary team. Directs and supervises all Table 1912 and Gilmore’s Pub personnel assignments and objectives to accomplish all goals for resident and general public dining services. Responsible for the weekly work schedule for Table 1912 and Gilmore’s Pub kitchen staff, as well as assuring adequate staffing levels for all shifts on a daily basis. Responsible for culinary creatively for tastings, events and special banquet needs. Ensures staff follow all kitchen policies and procedures, including sanitation, safety and cleaning charts. Successful functioning in this position contributes directly to the overall Western Home Communities mission of providing the best possible care for residents. REQUIREMENTS: Culinary degree or related experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. ServSafe certification. Prior related experience working with regulations pertaining to dining services. Experience in menu development. Strong customer service background. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor when conducting business within Western Home Communities and out in the community. Must be able to do many different duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Must be able to work under stress when confronted with critical or unusual situations. Must have knowledge of state rules and regulations or willingness to learn.
