Director of Hospitality- Jorgensen Plaza

DUTIES: Responsible for hospitality operations within Jorgensen Plaza for Well-Being (the kitchen, Table 1912, Gilmore's Pub, Caraway Cafe, the Diamond Event Center and The Market), including development, implementation and execution of policies, budgets, objectives, short and long-range planning for assigned enterprises, and net growth. Develops and sets priorities to integrate new services and programs. Assists with and directs continuous improvement that improves net; analysis of budgets, market conditions, and opportunity cost analysis. Represents WHC on and off campus; attends events; recruits; promotes sales and gives presentations. Promote and participate in the Vision and Values of the Western Home Strategic Plan, including People First, Innovation, Servant Spirit, and Financial Integrity. Successful functioning in this position contributes directly to the overall Western Home Communities mission of providing the best possible care for residents.

REQUIREMENTS: 4-year degree in business or food related field and 7 years relative progressive management experience; or 2-year degree in hospitality or food related field and 9 years relative progressive management experience. Strong customer service skills; commuication skills, technology skills, math skills, knowledge of related federal and state regulations. Self-motivated. Regular on-site attendance is required. Daily work is self-directed. Must work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays based on business need. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor when conducting business within Western Home Communities and out in the community. Must be able to work under stress, multitask, and think quickly under pressure, when deadlines or critical situations arise. Must demonstrate use of independent, good judgement.
