Reserve Police Officer

The City of Cedar Falls is accepting applications to test for Reserve Police Officer. Applicants must be a minimum of 21 yrs. old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Iowa Driver’s License with good driving record, be an Iowa resident, and successfully pass a background check and post-offer Police Officer physical and drug screen. Reserve Officers are provided with necessary training, equipment and uniforms and work with and serve in a voluntary capacity to supplement career Officers. A monetary stipend is provided after 2 yrs. of service. The City is seeking applicants who are satisfied with their current career but have the desire to volunteer their time to the citizens of Cedar Falls. Testing will be completed in Cedar Falls on Saturday, September 28th at 8:00 a.m. at the Public Safety Center building located at 4600 South Main Street. Candidates will be informed of their eligibility/approval to test by the last week of September and additional information will be provided to complete and return to testing.
