Operations Specialist

Discerning Wealth, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial, has an immediate opening for an Operations Specialist. This role provides administrative assistance in day-to-day operations to support an integrated team in our progressive financial planning practice to ensure Back Office operations run smoothing and efficiently. The person we are looking for will report to the COO on planning, organizing and coordinating functions related to the operations of the business; develop a high proficiency on the use of Sales Force in creating new reports based on practice needs; work directly with the integrated team to provide electronic files and meeting prep to assigned advisors and paraplanners; track planning requests and work closely with the teams' financial analyst to ensure plan needs are met. The right candidate will have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel and Outlook; will have strong organizational skills, strong problem-solving and analytical ability; will manage interruptions with ease; and have emotional maturity that reflects empathy, concern and genuineness in all client interfaces. Post high school education is desired with 3-5 years of previous administrative work experience preferred. This is a part-time position with potential to develop into full-time with the right candidate.
