Discerning Wealth, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial, has an immediate opening for an Operations Specialist. This role provides administrative assistance in day-to-day operations to support an integrated team approach in our progressive financial planning practice to ensure Back Office operations run smoothing and efficiently. The person we are looking for will assist the COO in planning, organizing and coordinating functions related to the operation of the business; develop a high proficiency on the use of Sales Force in creating new reports based on practice needs; work directly with the integrated team to provide electronic files and prep to assigned advisors and paraplanners; track planning requests and work closely with the analyst to ensure plan needs are met. This person will have a high proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications with strong emphasis on Excel and Outlook; will have strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability; will manage interruptions with ease; and have emotional maturity that reflects empathy, concern and genuineness for all client interfaces. Post high school education is desired with 3-5 years of previous administrative work experience preferred.
