Mortgage Loan Processor/Servicer

  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service with all secondary market and portfolio servicing needs to members.  Including but not limited to member complaints, application of payments, escrow questions, title concerns, missed payments and general fielding of any service related loans during pre and post closing functions of the loan process.
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  • Interacts with various lending teams to ensure all necessary documents are included in the file.
  • Assumes an "audit" function for files prior to shipping the file to the master servicer.  Takes initiative & accountability to resolve any issues.
  • Orders final title commitment and follows up after closing to ensure prompt delivery of Title Guaranty, abstract continuation, and title opinions.
  • Manages and is responsible for the funding of real estate loans including the uploading from Mortgagebot to Servicing Director, funding the loan and all post-closing functions.
  • Pays PMI in a timely manner on loans that require PMI.
  • Ensures receipt of first payments for required secondary market loans  through various forms of member contact which includes the mailing of monthly statements.
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of mortgage loan files for piggyback second mortgages.
  • Follows up on any missing documentation in mortgage file.
  • Completes the permanent file for all real estate documents and recorded mortgage.  Maintains all in-house mortgage files.
  • Tracks mortgage loan file/document retention.
  • Performs HMDA functions - including data entry in LAR and compilation of HMDA supporting documents.
  • Performs pre-closing functions as directed by mortgage loan officer(s), including ordering of title work and appraisal, VOEs, soft pulls, ordering of payoff and insurance tracking.
  • Maintains secondary market servicing platform.
  • Manages escrow program, including disbursing funds or taxes and insurance and performing annual escrow analysis.
  • Preparing, verifying, and mailing out annual 1098 statements for loans in Servicing Director.
