This is what you'll get to do. Real career. Real purpose. Provide comparison of and compile invoices with packing slips, purchase orders and other documentation for accuracy and appropriate authorization. Complete expense coding and allocation for accurate expense distribution and provide copies of fixed assets and insurance to the Accounting Director as needed. Maintain accounts payable physical files including compiled copy of check, invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, and statements by vendor. Obtain W-9’s from vendors and review for correct completion. Identify transactions eligible for state use tax and designate in the accounting system to generate reports for quarterly sales and use tax filing. Prepare daily cash receipts log and forward with checks received to the assigned Billing Specialist for deposit. Review invoices for Bill’s Community Homes (BCH) for accuracy and proper authorization and code for proper expense distribution. Process recurring monthly payments as applicable. Accounting software, general word processing and spreadsheet computer knowledge. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and remain focused in a busy environment. Ability to work with others in a team-oriented atmosphere. Effective time management skills. Ability to be flexible and handle emergencies calmly and professionally. Qualifications: Two-year degree or diploma in accounting Two (2) years accounting experience or a combination equivalent to four (4) years. This position requires a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check.
