On January 1, 2015, the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Board of Realtors, along with the Backbone Board of Realtors, Bremer, Butler, Chickasaw Board of Realtors, Northeast Iowa Board of Realtors, and Cedar Valley Board of Realtors, merged to form the Northeast Iowa Regional Board of Realtors®. The new board consists of 13 counties, with approximately 700 REALTOR members. Currently there are approximately 6500 REALTORS actively licensed in the state of Iowa. Each agent is a member of the local Board as well as the Iowa Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. This was a consolidation of resources, both human and financial. We now have an opportunity to collectively use our resources by supporting the rights of property owners by winning legislative issues and legal challenges, to provide opportunities for increasing professionalism for our members, and to strengthen the value of REALTORS in the communities we serve. The goals of the Northeast Iowa Regional Board of Realtors® are that every member is provided with the services they deserve, and the association will continue to strive for excellence in real estate.
