Engineer

Schumacher Elevator Company is searching for a talented Engineer to work with an inspired multidiscipline team of design professionals developing custom passenger and freight elevators. From unique home elevators to mammoth freight lifts, our engineering team is creative and innovative when designing new and unique products within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
What you need for this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Proficient knowledge of 3D CAD software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)
• Strong knowledge of statics, dynamics, and design for manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• SAP system knowledge a plus
• F.E. minimum, P.E. a plus

What you’ll be doing:

• Reviewing job contracts and specifications to determine project requirements
• Engineering elevator structures and determining equipment loads
• Overseeing and directing work of an engineering design team
• Interpreting state and national codes
• Interfacing with customers and in-house professionals
