POSITION: Visiting Instructor in Biology
DEPARTMENT: Biology
STARTING DATE: Fall 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Ecology, or related disciplines. Ability to teach Introductory
Biology I and II courses and contribute to other Biology department courses as appropriate. Candidates that
are ABD will be considered.
Preferred:
PhD in Biology, Ecology, or related disciplines, and the ability to teach a 200-level Ecology course.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach the equivalent of seven courses (3-3-1) throughout the academic year, including contributing to the team-taught Introductory Biology courses (lecture and lab) both semesters. Terms are Fall semester (August-December), Winter semester (January-April), May term (4 weeks).
SALARY: Competitive
CONTRACT: Full-time, one-year contract (August-May)
