School Technology Specialist I or II

Job Goal: Assess and support the technology needs of assigned school(s). School Technology Specialist I Qualifications Degree in information technology or related field and/or two years of experience in computer technology support A+ Certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of employment) Experience with Google Admin and multiple computer and mobile device operating systems Experience with mobile device management and computer imaging Hold and maintain a valid Iowa driver’s license Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. School Technology Specialist II Qualifications Degree in information technology or related field and/or three years of experience maintaining computers/devices via LAN and WAN infrastructure Relevant technical certifications desired Experience with configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment, including wireless controllers and access points Experience with Windows/Mac/Linux operating systems Ability to communicate and work with ISPs, software/hardware vendors, local school districts, and Central Rivers AEA IT personnel Experience as a Google Workspace Admin desired Experience with mobile device management and computer setup/imaging Hold and maintain a valid Iowa Drivers license Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable Skills and Abilities: Excellent human relations, verbal and written communication skills.
