The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Economics seeks applicants for a full-time, two-year term Instructor position beginning August 2020. Duties include but are not limited to teaching and teaching-related responsibilities including courses in Introduction to Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Money and Banking; advising students; remaining active in scholarship; and participating in department, college, and university professional activities.

An ABD in Economics from a nationally or internationally recognized university required. Required qualifications include at least two-semesters of recent teaching experience as the primary or lead instructor in Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics at the university level from a national or internationally recognized university; evidence of potential for effective and high-quality teaching effectiveness in the courses mentioned above; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
