Prepares and conducts individual and group hands-on training for painting and coating professionals and managers; develops curriculum based on the needs of painting and coating professionals and managers; researches and develops new and innovative technologies and incorporates them into education and training; works on grant and contract projects dealing with waste reduction, air emission and recycling; creates and directs specific demonstration projects that address high priority solid and hazardous waste materials, air emissions, or wastewater; organizes and conducts waste reduction programs and projects throughout the state; works with targeted industry to focus on specific waste reduction techniques and opportunities; prepares written waste reduction reports and manuals addressing business and industry projects; and conducts on-site reviews of waste management and air emissions at the request of business and industry.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field required. At least one year of experience in environmental consulting required. Experience in coating and painting industry, and military experience preferred.
