The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) is seeking applicants for Director of Admissions. Primary responsibilities of this position include: directing the university’s admission and recruitment activities to help achieve the university’s enrollment goals for new students; leading and effectively managing the Office of Admissions; serving as a team leader for professional, support and student staff; collecting, analyzing and using admissions data to recommend activities to meet university goals and objectives; providing vision and leadership for use of technology in recruitment and admissions processes; developing and moving outreach efforts forward to actively promote, attract and enroll a diverse student population; overseeing Admissions marketing initiatives and contributing to development of an institutional marketing plan; and networking and collaborating with all levels of the university to build effective relationships and communicate recruitment strategies and actions.

Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education or a related field; at least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in a university admissions or enrollment setting; experience in supervising full-time staff; and demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational and collaboration skills required. Extensive knowledge of contemporary recruitment and technological strategies related to achieving enrollment goals for new students; proven record of success in admissions and an understanding of current marketing concepts and practices; and experience leading multicultural recruitment or retention initiatives preferred.
