  • Creates classroom daily schedule suitable to the ages (6 weeks to 5 years old) of the children enrolled.
  • Prepares monthly newsletters to parents.
  • Positively demonstrates an interest in, concern for, and relates well to young children and their families.
  • Prepares lessons and activities to meet each child’s development level.
  • Works in collaboration with Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator in meeting QRS, NAEYC, and Head Start criteria and standards.
  • Maintain child/staff ratio daily.
  • Conducts new family orientation for all families enrolled


To be successful you will have:

  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing standards and registration guidelines for childcare centers
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer service, public relations skills, and the ability to work with staff, students, the general public, and small children.
  • Ability to identify and use appropriate assessments and evaluation instructions
  • Knowledge of Quality Rating System (QRS) criteria and National Association for the Education of Young Children NAEYC) accreditation.
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum philosophy and techniques/objectives
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Child Development.



  • High school diploma or a GED. 
  • Preferred Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in childcare/education related field.
  • Related direct work experience with Infant through Preschool age children.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check. 



  • Shift: Day
  • Tier: Full-time; 40hrs Monday-Friday hours typically between 7 am-5:30pm
