Assistant Professor, Construction Management 

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Technology seeks applications for a full-time position as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Construction Management available August 2020.

The successful candidate must hold a terminal degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. ABD will be considered with evidence of degree completion by December 1, 2021.
 
Required qualifications include 5 years of U.S. Construction Industry experience; knowledge of BIM and VDC applications in construction. Candidates must also demonstrate effective communication skills; a commitment to engaged/applied learning; scholarship and service; ability to conduct research; and willingness to develop partnerships with local and national construction-related businesses and organizations.
           
Preference will be given to candidates with professional certification, such as the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), Designated Design Build Professional (DBIA), Professional Engineering (PE), Project Management (PMP), or licensed architect (AIA Ncarb); as well as experience in Project Management and evidence of successful teaching.
