Manages student philanthropy team tasked with soliciting donations from alumni and friends of the University of Northern Iowa; sets strategic plans for call center; assists in integrating telemarketing and direct mail campaigns; manages campus-wide crowd funding platform; assists student groups/organizations in formulating strategies for soliciting gifts; and participates in staff education, project strategy sessions and strategic planning.

A defined career path exists. Based on experience, the successful candidate may be hired into one of two levels of professional opportunity: Assistant Director Annual Giving Programs or Associate Director Annual Giving Programs and will be given the opportunity to progress through the career path by achieving defined performance objectives once employed. Additional requirements and duties required for Associate Director Annual Giving Programs position.

Bachelor’s degree required. At least one year of combined experience in non-profit annual giving, marketing/sales with direct donor/client contact, project management, or working with databases creating segmented communications strategies for direct mail, electronic, and social media applications required. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience also required. Knowledge of phone call center operations; demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple detailed tasks and achieve established resource development goals within established schedules; ability to build rapport with people quickly; and excellent oral and written communications skills preferred.
