Overview: This position will fill a variety of customer-service roles at Waterloo Bucks home games. Ushers are staffed to provide fans with assistance and information throughout the game to make sure a Bucks game is the best experience we can offer. Ushers will fill roles throughout the season as ticket takers, general seating ushers, and hospitality area ticket takers. Responsibilities: 1. Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the ballpark for fans 2. Answer questions or direct fans to the correct front office staff member who can assist them 3. Assist fans in finding their seats, carrying items, etc. 4. Pass out and collect customer survey cards 5. General area upkeep including intermittent trash collection or sweeping as needed 6. Oversee ballpark experiences and alert front office staff if any issues need to be attended to 7. Tend to any fan inquiries or concerns and take proactive measures to avoid issues Requirements: • Must be available to work on nights and weekends • Must be able to interact with fans of all ages • Must be able to work Waterloo Bucks home games • Must be able to provide quality service to fans and foresee issues • Must have own transportation Qualifications: • Positive attitude and high energy • Desire to gain experience in customer relationship building • Personable personality • Dependability- displays punctuality, follows instruction, and responds to manager’s instructions • Willingness to represent the Waterloo Bucks in a positive manner • Able to work in a fun, fast pace environment Job Length: The main duties of the position will run from May 30 through August 13. There will also be opportunity to continue this position past August 13th if the Bucks will host any playoff games. Most shifts will be 4 to 5 hours in length and will begin one hour before gates open and conclude towards the end of the game.
