Crop Insurance Account Manager

Position Summary: Our AgriBusiness team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic Crop team! As a Crop Insurance Account Manager, you will provide timely and accurate service to our clients, and offer additional support to Sales Advisors, as it relates to the sale and service of new and existing business. You will play an important role by building and maintaining relationships with clients, Sales Advisors, and insurance company representatives. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist with gathering the appropriate information from clients to adequately quote their insurance. • Assist with preparing and presenting formal proposals of insurance to clients. • Assist with scheduling customer appointments, meetings, and follow-ups as needed. • Check insurance applications, acreage reports, production reports, and other corresponding policy documents for accuracy, and submit to the appropriate insurance company in a timely manner. • Process policy changes with the appropriate insurance company in a timely and accurate manner. • Enter customer and policy information into the appropriate agency management system, insurance company website, and/or department spreadsheet for tracking and reporting purposes. Also maintain the accuracy of that information by submitting changes and/or corrections in a timely manner. • Provide top-notch customer service to clients by assisting with their service requests and answering questions related to their policies, coverage, claims, billing, etc. • Assist clients with claims and provide support throughout the claims process. • Develop and maintain proficiency in the intricacies of crop insurance to be able to assist clients with their policies. • Create effective and efficient processes and procedures to assist with the overall sales and customer service functions of the team. Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Previous experience in a customer service role is required. Additional experience in the Crop insurance industry is highly preferred. • Prior experience working with a customer relationship management (CRM) system and associated processes and procedures is helpful. • A farming and/or agricultural background is helpful. • Crop insurance license is required upon hire (if not already possessed). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Excellent customer service skills. • The ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and tasks in an effective manner. • The ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in work. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software. • Proficiency in utilizing basic office equipment, such as a computer, printer, copier, scanner, and fax machine. This is an in-person position located in our Waverly office.
