Adjunct Instructor, Construction Management

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Applied Engineering & Technical Management seeks applicants for a full-time or part time position as temporary Adjunct Instructor(s) for the Construction Management Program, starting August 2022. Instructors needed to cover the following topics: Introduction to Construction Management, Structural Components, Surveying Elements for Construction, and Construction Law. In your cover letter, please indicate which topics you'd be available to cover.
 
Required qualifications include bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field plus at least 10 years US industrial experience in the area of construction engineering, construction management or civil engineering; a master's degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, MBA, Project Management or related field plus at least five years of US industrial experience in the area of construction engineering, construction management or civil engineering; or a bachelor's degree in one of the areas previously listed, at least three years of experience with construction site drone operations, and special certifications within the area of construction surveying and drone operations. Candidates must also demonstrate effective communication skills; a commitment to engaged/applied learning; and a willingness to develop partnerships with local and national construction-related businesses and organizations.
